Francisco Igeño was born in Córdoba, Spain in 1.951. He moved to Madrid as a child where he studied Fine Arts in Madrid. He has had innumerable individual exhibitions as well as participated in many Art. Fairs within Spain and the rest of Europe. He has work in private colections in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, México, Nederland, France, Canada, etc. An artist that is always innovative and continually breaking bounds, Igeño's work has evolved into a fundamentally hard edged Geometric Abstraction with a very personal language in which he incorporates different materials such as wood, metal, plastic, etc. adding nuance and creating space within the painted surface. Although with a synthesis akin to Minimalism, Igeño's work also has a potent conceptual base in which he conveys a sense of mysticism and spirituality, a quiesent forcé hidden within the muted colours and space.
